About Our Township

Washington Township Trustees have been supporting and providing for its community for almost 200 years with road servicing, cemetery maintenance, a shelter house, a ball field for the public, and much more!

Located at the township building is a baseball field that is fully fenced and open to the public. There is a basketball court available for use. A shelter house that people use for reunions, picnics, birthday parties, get-togethers, and more! For more information or details on reserving, call a trustee! Washington Township is 1 of 14 townships in Union County Ohio, and is the most northern township in the county.

The building was originally a school building, which was renovated in 2005 with part of the original building being the office that is used today.

Clean up day is one of the biggest days of the year for our community. One day a year, on a Saturday, there are dumpsters at the township building for everyone to come and clean out their trash to make sure we have a clean environment for not only wildlife, but ourselves as well. 

  •  Cleanup day is typically in the spring, always a Saturday

  • Cleanup day is from 7am – 12pm

  • Free for Township Citizens

  • Nothing toxic, ie. batteries, electronics, etc.
